The President of Georgia met Georgian expatriate businessmen and enterprisers

The President of Georgia met the Georgian expatriate businessmen and enterprisers. It was decided to set up an advisory board that will work on economic issues and Georgian successful expatriate economists and banking professionals would give consultations to the Georgian government on the permanent basis. The chairman of the board will be Nick Gilauri and his deputy ex PM VladimerGurgenidze. The objective of this board will be protection of Georgian economy as much as possible under conditions of the current economic crisis.

"We need impartial ideas about how it is possible to secure Georgian economy during the crisis and as much as it is possible to avoid all misfortune. It is clear that we will not be able to avoid id fully. Our aim is to have impartial information constantly. Many processes start abroad and then come here, you are the first to observe these processes. I want that we set up a large international council against the crisis, which will be composed of our compatriots living abroad. I want to ask you for help as much as possible.

Also I want to ask you to get involved in the process of constructing Georgian state as soon as the global economic crisis is overcome", stated the President of Georgia.
