Administration of the President of Georgia
Based on high interest in the elections scheduled for October 27, 2013 the Administration of the President of Georgia ordered a survey on societal opinion to an American research company Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research. Interviews were held during September 15-21 on the entire territory of Georgia (with exception of occupied territories) and included 1204 face to face interviews. The margin of error was +/-2-3 percent.
The survey once again showed that Georgian society’s Euro-Atlantic aspiration is unaltered. Almost 80% of the surveyed population welcomes membership in the EU and NATO.
The survey sheds light on the pre-election campaign situation as well as society’s attitude towards such important issues as economic conditions, employment, and vector of the country’s development. We hope this survey facilitates a more informed discussion during the pre-election period.
