The President of Georgia opened a sports arena in Tskaltubo

The President of Georgia opened a sports arena in Tskaltubo. Mikheil Saakashvili toured the three story building with rooms for wrestling, boxing, soccer, handball, and basketball with the members of government and sportsmen. The Head of State also addressed the audience gathered around the building and familiarized them with all of the infrastructural projects planned in Tskaltubo.

“I think that this year the entire water system will be organized and all of the sanatoria will begin functioning next year. 5 hotels and parks will also be finished. The fact that the famous Tskaltubo bathrooms are in the process or rehabilitation is also important. Tskaltubo will regain its status as a resort in 2013 and become one of the most famous resorts by 2015. The new Kutaisi Airport as well as new investments will assist in this process. In the end, people should be employed here because this place has a lot of potential. Moreover, not only will the residents of this place will be employed, but so will the populations of the villages and regions nearby and everything will basically be revived here” – stated the President of Georgia.

The Tskaltubo sports arena was built in approximately a year and a half. It is possible to hold high level competitions in the rooms of the arena all of which comply with modern standards.
