The Advisor of the President of Georgia, Nino Kalandadze, made a statement today replying to the recommendations of the Venice Commission, which the commission gave to the lawmakers regarding the changes that need to be made to the “Organic Law Regarding the Common Courts”.

“We welcome the fact that the Venice Commission supported independence and no intervention in affairs of the judiciary. We express hope that the Parliament of Georgia will reach a decision which will not distance us from European legal principles” – stated Nino Kalandadze.
