The President of Georgia appointed Ivane Merabishvili as the Prime Minister
The President of Georgia appointed to the post of the Prime Minister of the country Ivane Merabishvili, who, until now, led the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The President announced this decision a few minutes ago, at the Presidential Palace.
Ivane Merabishvili led the Ministry of Internal Affairs from December 31, 2004 till July 30, 2012. Nikoloz Gilauri was the Prime Minister from February 6, 2009 till the present day.
