The President of Georgia will participate in the 58th NATO Parliamentary Assembly
The President of Georgia will participate in the 58th NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Prague. Mikheil Saakashvili is scheduled to address the plenary session, which will be held on November 12th. The Head of State is going to attend the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as a result of a personal invitation from the NATO Secretary General. Anders Fogh Rasmussen invited the President of Georgia on October 12th during their phone conversation.
During his visit to Prague, Mikheil Saakashvili will hold bilateral meetings with the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the President of NATO’s Parliamentary Assembly Karl Lamers and other representatives of European structures.
350 delegates of 28 NATO member countries from North America and Europe attend the NATO Parliamentary Assembly annually. Experts and observers from partner countries will also participate. The 58th session will be held in Prague on November 9-12, and international security will be the most important issue discussed.
After visiting the Czech Republic the Head of State will visit Belgium, where he will hold bilateral meetings.
