A special group, which will work on returning the Jerusalem Monastery of the Cross to the Georgia, has been created by the order of Mikheil Saakashvili. The Head of State spoke about this initiative while addressing the cadets of the Gori National Defense Academy.

“Several days ago I created a group, which will work on returning the Jerusalem Monastery of the Cross to the Georgia. I call on everyone to back us in this matter. We are grateful to the Israeli state for expressing readiness in terms of cooperation on this matter. This year we are beginning to restore Oshka and other Georgian monuments in the territory of Turkey within the scope of negotiations with the government of Turkey” – stated the President of Georgia.
