The President of Georgia continues meetings with the population

Mikheil Saakashvili met with the population of the Bakhmaro Village in the Guria Region, and spoke to the local residents about recently implemented infrastructural projects. The Head of State spoke to the residents of Bakhmaro about regional development and the importance of developing Bakhmaro as an international resort. According to the President, tourists will visit Bakhmaro not only in summer but in winter as well.

“When you are in Bakhmaro, you realize how big of a potential not only Georgia has, but Guria and Chokhatauri specifically. For us, Bakhmaro was only a local resort and nobody knew about its existence besides the Gurians, but you will see what will happen next year how this place will change. We started small this year, but all of Georgia will come here next year, the entire Caucasus region the following year, and maybe the rest of the world the year after. We have created a government building out of ruins here. Others want to demolish this building with your hands. It is incredible for Georgian people, who are in a need of construction, to support the people who want to come to power with a list of things to demolish; things that we have created” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili while talking to the locals.
