Mikheil Saakashvili
I am glad that we are awarding Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Italy in Batumi.
I plan all such events in Batumi on purpose.
Vittorio Sandally is former military serviceman that had built up great experience in this sphere.
Vittorio Sandalli served in Georgia in extremely difficult time.
However despite limited human and economic resources he still managed to deepen cultural and economic relations and cooperation.
I want to underline that Vittorio Sandalli is one of the best and outstanding Ambassadors among them who serves in Georgia.
Vittorio Sandalli
This award inspired me so much.
These for years of serving in Georgia were huge happiness for my family and me.
There are very good relations between Italy and Georgia and this will support farther deepening of or cooperation. There is huge interest towards your country. This is why the Minister of Economic Development of Italy will visit Georgia this fall and the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia is planned in mid April as well, where he will meet Italian investors.
There is great interest and expectations form Italian investors to get familiar with the investment climate in Georgia that is enormous indeed.
I am grateful to those people that I had relations with during this period.
I want to thank the President of Georgia personally. When I get back to Rome and start my new job I will continue working on the development of Italian-Georgia relations.
