The President of Georgia visited the reconstructed theatre building in Telavi. Mikheil Saakashvili noted that Telavi culture must be restored. He said that he gave a promise to Telavi population exactly in this hall. Mikheil Saakashvili said that symphonic orchestra and music school must revive, because there is a big recourse for this in Telavi and locals must be given jobs in this direction as well. Telavi theatre was constructed in 80ies and rehabilitation works were conducted first time this year. The funds for this works were issued from the central budget. Hitting system was installed, internal façade and orchestra seating location were renovated. This gives the theatre an opportunity to host opera performances as well.
