The President of Georgia met with the Prime Minister of Bulgaria
Mikheil Saakashviil hosted the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov and Bulgarian cabinet members at the Presidential Palace today. Implementation of strategic projects, regional cooperation, and support of Georgia’s integration in European structures were among the main topics of discussion. Boyko Borisov once again expressed support for the process of Georgia’s integration into the European Union and the beginning of negotiations regarding the visa liberalization issue. The sides also touched on specific projects to be implemented by the two countries, including the import of energy resources by detouring Russia.
The Bulgarian delegation has arrived in Georgia on a two day official visit and is headed by the Prime Minister. Boyko Borisov held working meetings with his Georgian colleague and other members of the Georgian government.
