The President spoke about the merit of Tsisana Tatishvili to the artists gathered at the Presidential Palace and focused attention on her special talent.
“I greet everyone. Our famous cultural figures, our great conductors, head of the musical school and other merited persons. Madam Tsisana needs no introduction or the listing of her merits and biography details before the public. If anyone knows the importance of Georgian culture and its scale on the world arena, and the level of stars we have had in our history then one of the first names on that person’s mind should be Tsisana Tatishvili. Madam Tsisana is a real star of Georgian and world culture. This is why it is a great honor for us to give her one of the main state decorations, the Presidential Order of Excellence, on behalf of the state, which corresponds to her excellence. When this award was created if anyone deserved to have it she was one of the first persons on the list. I will personally never forget your performances. I remember your voice since childhood. When you entered the stage all the attention was on you, because you truly have a special and God given talent. You cannot work something like that out. You have to be born with it. However, this is also dependent on hard work, being a person, a great citizen…I would also like to emphasize your special patriotism, real citizenship and distinguished merit. I give you this order with the greatest pleasure” – stated the President of Georgia.
The Minister of Culture Nikoloz Rurua, Director of Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theater Davit Sakvarelidze, famous Italian conductor Cianluca Marciano as well as representatives of Georgian culture including Vato Kakhidze, Nunu Gabunia, Nanuli Abesadze, Tengiz Mushkudiani, Tamar Shengelia and others attended the ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
