President Saakashvili visits Samtskhe-Javakheti
President Mikheil Saakashvili visited Ninotsminda district today and participated in the building of an Armenian school in the village Gandza. The President met the local residents and talked to them about the existing problems and promised to solve the issues of roads and Russian bases.
The President said that the visa regime with Russia has been simplified, though unilaterally, claiming that Georgia was ready to eliminate the visa regime with Russia.
The President thereby said that this issue should become one of the conversation topics during the negotiations with Russia and that the outcomes shall depend on this. He also added that the breakthrough in negotiations is obvious.
The President also visited Orpalo training polygon in Samtskhe-Javakheti today and participated in the closing ceremony of an artillery training program "Burning Fist-2005".
