Today in Kiev President Mikheil Saakashvili met with the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko. During the meeting it was decided that President Yushchenko would visit Georgia on July 15.

The two Presidents visited the place in Kiev where building of a new Georgian embassy will be finished by 2007. President Yushchenko and President Saakashvili saw a model of the Georgian embassy and afterwards placed a container filled with the soil taken from the cemetery of the greatest king of Georgia, Davit Aghmashenebeli and the documents signed by the Presidents of Ukraine and Georgia. Symbolically President Victor Yushchenko did the first building works.

"It's a historic moment. During the period I lived in Ukraine I would have never imagined that at this historic place in Kiev building an embassy of independent Georgia would have started and I would have taken part in it," President Saakashvili said.

After that President Saakashvili delivered a speech at an International Relations Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University.
