President Saakashvili unveils plans for development of Gudauri ski resort
President Mikheil Saakashvili today visited the ski resort of Gudauri in north-central Georgia. The Georgian president laid out a plan for the development of tourism in the resort together with Culture Minister Giorgi Gabashvili and Mtskheta-Mtianeti province Governor Vasil Maghlaperidze. Saakashvili said that two additional ski lifts would be installed in Gudauri and that several snow-plows would be sent to the area. In addition, the overall infrastructure of the resort will be refurbished. President Saakashvili said that after construction works are completed the resort will be even more attractive for tourists, which in its turn will lead to an increase in the number of tourists and holidaymakers visiting Georgia.
