The President of Georgia met the representatives of Georgian Diaspora during his visit in the United States.

Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia and announced the date of elections, May 21, 2008.

"The Georgian delegation had very important and long meetings with the President of the United States and the headship of the Administration. This was the most successful visit that I have ever had before. I cannot speak of any other small country like Georgia that has the meetings with the President of the United States annually. I do not know any other country that attracts so much attention", stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
