The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili congratulated famous contemporary Georgian writer Guram Dochanashvili on the day of his 70th anniversary. Guram Dochanashvili wrote in one of his short story that his dream was to visit Florence. Mikheil Saakashvili gave Guram Dochanashvili and his family four travel vouchers to visit Italy.

"I believe that you are represent more than Mark Twain for our country. I am saying this without any exaggeration. We all were raised on your books. I read your new short story in the magazine few weeks ago. I have decided to come to you and congratulate you personally. Yesterday I once again read that short story and I have stressed my attention on the moment where you write about Florence. I have decided to bring you four travel vouchers for you and for your family, three days in Rome and four days in Florence. This small gift is an expression of my gratitude and respect towards you", noted Mikheil Saakashvili.
