The President of Georgia visited the family of the missing girl Darejan Diasamidze
The President of Georgia visited the family of 17 year old Darejan Diasamidze, who disappeared on the morning of August 7th. Mikheil Saakashvili visited the girl’s parents in the Akhalsheni Village and personally expressed interest in their problems and the ongoing investigation. According to him, Georgia has such a system with professional law enforcers and investigators that it is impossible for a person to disappear like this.
“They are trying? They should try 10 times harder and reach results. They must not preoccupy themselves with anything else now. Such things must not happen in Georgia. Especially at a time we have such conditions. Not only law enforcers but people must also help us find this girl” – stated Mikheil Saakashvili while talking to them.
Mikheil Saakashvili noted that the girl’s mother personally wrote him a letter, to tell him about the family problem and to ask for help.
“Madam Lamzira addressed me as a father because my son is the same age as Darejan. I do not wish anyone to be in her parents’ shoes right now. I think the search will intensify now. I will contact the relevant agencies and visit you in a few days” – he noted.
Darejan Diasamidze’s parents thanked the Head of State for his kindheartedness and expressed hope that the process will accelerate as a result of the President’s involvement.
