Mikheil Saakashvili familiarized himself with road rehabilitation works in Guria and expressed interest in the process of the “Smiling Georgia” project

The President of Georgia visited the Shroma Village and learned about rehabilitation works of a 17 kilometer portion of the local road. Mikheil Saakashvili personally participated in the paving process and expressed interest in the details of the project. The rehabilitated road will connect Shroma, Natanebi, and Ureki with each other. 200 persons are employed within the scope of the project and the works will be completed in 4 months.

The President of Georgia visited the Natanebi Village, where the program initiated by him “Smiling Georgia” is underway. Mikheil Saakashvili expressed interest in the process, and spoke with the medical personnel and the part of the population which received dental services within the scope of the project. Mikheil Saakashvili focused attention on the importance of the program, and noted that such services must be accessible to everyone, especially persons living in villages and socially unprotected persons.

“If a person has a dental problem that person’s health and psychology begin to collapse. This is why this program is very important. Many people do not have enough money for dental care because they have no money left as a result of existential problems. Many places of Georgia did not have good dental clinics, especially villages. Hence, this program is also important in this regard” – noted the President.
