Mikheil Saakashvili opened a new clinic in Gori

The President of Georgia opened a new clinic within the scope of the hospital sector development program in Gori today. The clinic has a surgical profile and is equipped with ultramodern technology. Mikheil Saakashvili toured the clinic and spoke with the personnel. According to him, the process of importing new technologies to Georgia is happening because the quality of medical care must improve constantly.

The President also met with the public gathered around the building and addressed them. Mikheil Saakashvili spoke to them about rehabilitating Gori and introduced the details of the projects planned. According to the Head of State, very soon the city which was the main object of Russian aggression in August 2008 will become a tourist center of Georgia. The President mentioned that Georgia is advancing and no one will stop this process, because it has become irreversible. The President of Georgia later ordered the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture to implement new projects in Kartli. According to him, no piece of land should stay unused.

The insurance company “Iavnana Medi” built the new hospital through an investment of 1 million GEL. The clinic has 30 beds and employs 95 highly qualified specialists. The insurance company “Iavnana Medi” is planning to build one more hospital in Gori within the scope of the hospital sector development program. A new 70 bed medical center will opened in 15 months.
