The President of Georgia opened a new hospital in Bolnisi

The President of Georgia opened a hospital of modern standards in Bolnisi this time. Mikheil Saakashvili spoke with the local public and accepted their gratitude for the projects started in Bolnisi. He later toured the building and expressed interest in its equipment. The Head of State received information about the ultramodern equipment of the clinic from the medical personnel and the Deputy Minister of Health, Labor, and Social Affairs.

Mikheil Saakashvili expressed interest in the new x-ray machine which costs 300,000 EURO. The machine is unique because it can send pictures to any clinic in the world in order to double check the diagnosis.

Mikheil Saakashvili also toured the Reanimation Department equipped with technology that assists patients with breathing. The President mentioned that the old hospital of Bolnisi did not even have a Reanimation Department.  The President talked with the personnel working in the ultrasound room, who have been retrained at the clinic of heart and blood vessels in Tbilisi. Patients of the new Bolnisi hospital will have an opportunity to use the new cardio ultrasound machine. According to the President, a while ago this kind of service was only available at a few clinics in Tbilisi.

The Bolnisi hospital was built by the insurance company “IC Group” with an investment of 3 Million GEL.
