The President of Georgia is participating in the working of the 21^st Congress of the European People’s Party in Bucharest. Heads of State, Prime Ministers and Presidents of the European Council and European Commission are scheduled to address the congress. Mikheil Saakashvili will address participants of the congress on October 17^th.  The Head of State will also hold bilateral meetings within the scope of the congress.

Presentation of the party platform, discussion of future plans and goals, and election of the new President and Secretary General will take place during the EPP Congress.

Leaders of 16 countries as well as the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso and President of the European Council Herman, Van Rompuy are attending the ongoing congress in Bucharest.
