The President of Georgia expressed deep sorrow regarding the death of a legendary Georgian football player Ramaz Shengelia, and extended condolences to his family, relatives, and colleagues.

“I received bad news today – our great football player Ramaz Shengelia has passed away. This is truly a huge loss for the Georgian society and for me personally because Ramaz Shengelia was more than an athlete. He was a symbol of emotion, success, and a very possitive feeling for Georgia. I want many such patriots to be born in Georgia in the future. This is what I would wish for. I am deeply saddened by his death and I extend condolences to his family and relatives” – stated the President of Georgia.
