The President of Georgia responded to the Two Year Anniversary of August War from Columbia
The President of Georgia responded to the Two Year Anniversary of August War from Columbia. Mikheil Saakashvili stated that the war had started much earlier than August 7. The aggression continues until today, because the fight will continue before the last occupant leaves Georgia.
"It is not necessary to speak of any date separately. The aggression started against our country much earlier and it is still continuing. Our fight will continue until the last occupant leaves Georgia, before the justice is fully restored towards our citizens, who were urged to leave their own houses. In 2008 our fellow citizens had to defend our country by the price of their lives. Each of us has certain obligations in memory of our heroes. Each of us must continue this fight every day inside the country and all around the world; we must defend our positions everywhere. We do not have a day to loose, before the enemy is in Georgia, before our land is occupied and Georgia is not free. We will have to defend our independence to commemorate the names of our heroes. A historical task of our country and our generation is to bring this fight to the end and we will do it", the President of Georgia stated.
