The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili opened post office in Ganmukhuri
The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited Ganmukhuri today and met the local population gathered in the center of Ganmukhuri. Mikheil Saakashvili expressed his gratitude to the merits and braveness expressed by them during the war in August. He said that the fact that Russians are no longer in Ganmukhuri is the result of braveness living here. The President visited patriot's camp destroyed by Russians, visited the school and attended opening of new post office.
"Our Ganmukhuri was occupied - occupants raised their flag here. But during several months they weren't able to find any single collaborationist, any single person who would serve them. They were proposing people money and were even threatening them, but not a single person was found, who would cooperate with them in controlling and legalizing his land.
My dear people, if not your braveness, it would be impossible t liberalize this village. I am sure that the rest of Georgia will be liberalized like this village. Ganmukhuri is symbol of liberty for our country and I personally will do everything to make sure this kind of problems no longer exist. We will restore everything, what was destroyed among them camp and resort zones. We will for sure provide security as well", stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
