The President of Georgia met with the EU Commissioner for Neighboring Policy, Stefan Fule today. Future cooperation of Georgia and the EU within the scope of Eastern Partnership was the main topic of discussion. The discussion also touched on the association agreement, deep and comprehensive free trade agreement and visa liberalization with the EU. They later spoke about internal politics issues and the cohabitation process.

The European Commissioner focused attention on the Vilnius Summit and noted that it will be important for Georgia especially in the light of implemented reforms and reached progress. He expressed hope that Georgia will keep developing despite all the challenges brought by cohabitation.

After the meeting, Mikheil Saakashvili and Stefan Fule made joint statements for the media.

Stefan Fule arrived in Tbilisi within the scope of the second informal dialogue of Eastern Partnership.
