The Spokesperson for the President of Georgia held her traditional briefing
Spokesman for the President of Georgia at a traditional briefing stressed her attention on the events that took place last week. Manana Manjgaladze spoke about the Agreement concluded between the United National Movement, and several political parties in connection with changes to be made to the Electoral Code. According to her, the negotiation process was very important and complex and lasted for several months.
As Manana Manjgaladze stated, the President welcomes the completion of this important political process and hopes that this Agreement will be an additional guarantee for conducting the following fair and democratic elections in Georgia.
Manana Manjgaladze also spoke about the reconstruction works taking place on the segments that have been damaged as a result of the disaster on Rikoti Pass. As she noted, the President personally oversaw this issue.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who were directly involved in the process of rebuilding the central highway connecting the fuse to the east," - noted the spokesperson.
By the end, Manana Manjgaladze spoke about the next visit of congressmen of the United States of America to Georgia. This time the President of Georgia will meet the congressmen in Batumi.
"This is a continuation of consultations with political circles in the United States and of the relations that exist between Georgia and the United States within the framework of strategic partnership. The spectrum of the issues is quite diverse, serious and urgent: the trade-economic relations, regional security and others"- Manana Manjgaladze noted.
