A mineral water factory was opened in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region

Mikheil Saakashvili attended the opening of a new water factory - “Aqua Geo” in the Misaktsieli Village today and toured the facility that is equipped with modern technologies. The President talked with the local population and the persons affected by the August war, who are now employed by the new factory.

“This is our answer to the Russian occupation. There are several factories here already, employing more than 1200 persons. We are keeping our promise and these statements are true. This means that hundreds of families will be relieved. We quickly built several thousand houses for our citizens, who had been thrown out of their homes by occupants during August 2008. I said during the visit to this school, that neither these houses nor this school are as important, as employing these people” – stated the Head of State and once again drew attention to the peaceful politics of building facilities and employing the people that were affected during the conflict. According to him, unlike the occupants who are building block posts and using barb wire, the Government of Georgia is building factories, schools and training centers. “This is what makes a real democracy different from the slave psychology of the occupants” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili, drew attention to the importance of the facilities opened recently, especially the water facility.

“Water is our strategic resource. Russia has oil and gas, but they cannot create anything. We are using these resources for the prosperity of our people. First of all, the price of water will gradually increase in the world and thank God Georgia has an unlimited supply of this resource as well as a place in the world market. Second, water is a commodity and an opportunity, which enriches the families living nearby. This is very important” – noted the President during his visit to the facility.

Several other facilities will soon be built in the region, demonstrating that the employment of the people affected by the Russian aggression is a top priority.
