The President of Georgia took a German architect on a tour of the city of Anaklia
After touring Svaneti, The President of Georgia visited Anaklia along with the German architect, Jurgen Meier. Mikheil Saakashvili showed the Mr. Meier the construction work in progress and familiarized him with infrastructural projects that are being implemented in Anaklia.
"Anaklia is a city; therefore it needs a Municipal Center. All of Spain is talking about the projects that Meier implemented in Seville. A city center built out of beautiful wood materials, shops, and offices. Anaklia should be built in a similar fashion. We should build a big center away from the sea, hotels and shops after which commercial development will follow. Anaklia should become a real city and not be limited to a place with one or two streets along the coast", - noted the President.
