The President of Georgia met with the President of the European Commission
The President of Georgia met with the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso within the scope of his visit to Armenia. During the meeting the sides discussed issues of Georgia’s integration in the Euro Atlantic space and ways of deepening cooperation. Mikheil Saakashvili and Jose Manuel Barroso also spoke about the recent developments in Georgia. The President of the European Commission once again emphasized progress, which the country has reached on the road of integration in the Euro Atlantic space, and expressed hope that Georgia will continue advancement and democratic development.
The Head of State and Jose Manuel Barroso spoke about the necessity of cooperation between the member countries of Eastern Partnership and stressed that their involvement is overly important in terms of regional security and economic strengthening.
