The President of Georgia met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces
Giorgi Kalandadze continues to work in the armed forces in capacity of a Brigadier General by decision of the President of Georgia. The Head of State met with Giorgi Kalandadze at the Presidential Palace today. During their conversation Mikheil Saakashvili once again called on everyone to respect the Georgian Armed Forces.
“We have created the armed forces, which in no way can be affected by this. They are serving not any political party, or government or President, but the Georgian people. The most important thing is that our country is secure. It is my advice that you leave all of this behind, go back to the General Staff, and continue to serve the country as loyally as you had been for years” – stated Mikheil Saakashvili while talking to Giorgi Kalandadze.
