The President of Georgia attended the opening of the Georgia Bush Presidential Center in Dallas within the scope of his working visit in the United States. Mikheil Saakashvili is participating in the ceremony as a result of a personal invitation by former President of the United States George Bush and Laura Bush. High level guests and leaders of various countries including the President of Georgia and the First Lady of Georgia were greeted by former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The President of the United States Barrack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama attended the ceremony along with the other guests. Other participants of the ceremony included former President of the United States Bill Clinton (1993-2001), former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President of the United States Jimmy Carter (1977-1981) and Rosalynn Carter as well as the parents of George Bush the former President of the United States George Bush Senior and Barbara Bush attended the event.

After opening of the center the President of Georgia attended the official reception held in the name of George Bush with the First Lady of Georgia.
