The President of Georgia met with the Chairman and deputies of Milli Mejlis with the rest of the Georgian delegation in Baku today. The sides spoke about historic friendship between the Georgian and Azeri people and set future goals. They also focused attention on the importance of deepening partner relations and cooperation on issues of strategic importance.

During the meeting the President of Georgia stressed the progress that is noticeable in Azerbaijan in the recent years.

Oqtay Asadov in his turn once again stated that traditional relations must continue between the two countries, which are not only important for Georgia or Azerbaijan but the entire region.
