The President of Georgia took part in an international conference organized by Kiev Post, within the scope of which he addressed its participants.

During his address Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about friendship and common values of Georgia and Ukraine and noted that there is no alternative to European integration in terms of the future of these countries. He shared the experience gained by his government while in power for the last 9 years. Mikheil Saakashvili distinguished legal and economic reforms, which the international organizations acknowledged among the exemplary reforms in the region. During his speech, the Head of State expressed hope that the started progress will continue in the country because the Georgian nation will no longer choose to return to the past.

The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Piotr Poroshenko spoke in detail about the reforms implemented in Georgia, and existing progress in the country. By his assessment, the reforms implemented in the recent years made it evident that Georgia has become one of the exemplary cases on the international arena. He focused special attention on the changes which made doing business simpler in Georgia. Piotr Poroshenko called on the members of his government to share these successes, which according to him will importantly help Ukraine develop and progress more.
