The President of Georgia hosted a delegation from the Czech Republic headed by the Chairman of the Senate Milan Stech. The sides discussed issues of deepening cordial and cooperative relations of the two countries even more. The discussion touched on the prospect of Georgia’s integration in Euro-Atlantic structures and the European Union. Attention was focused on the reforms successfully implemented in Georgia. According to the Czech deputies, the Czech Republic supports Georgia’s integration in the Euro-Atlantic structures. The Czech side also expressed interest in the current conditions of the occupied regions and once again reaffirmed its unwavering support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. The President of Georgia also spoke with the guests about the issues of regional security.

Mikheil Saakashvili familiarized the Czech Senate representatives with the implemented and planned projects in Georgia.

“We are building a Public Service Hall in Tbilisi. Up to 20 such halls are being built around the country. The idea of this service center is to provide necessary state service for each citizen. This means that a citizen can register property, and acquire a driver’s license or a passport there. The Tbilisi service center will serve up to 20,000 persons each day and it will be the largest Public Service Hall in the region. We have the fastest service in the world and just like McDonalds McDrive system, we will launch the “Just Drive” system here based on which the citizens won’t have to leave their cars in order to obtain the necessary documentation. You can order coffee and a passport at the Public Service Hall and they will both arrive at the same time. The Tbilisi Public Service Hall will open in September” – noted the President while talking to them.

Attracting additional investments was one of the main topics of discussion during the meeting. As the members of delegation explained to the President, Czech businessmen are interested in investing in Georgia.

The Czech Senate delegation arrived in Georgia on a two-day official visit.
