Mikheil Saakashvili toured a new medical center in Kvareli
The President of Georgia toured a new medical center in Kvareli today, which was built by the insurance company “Imedi L” within the scope of the hospital sector development program. Mikheil Saakashvili toured the clinic, visited the first patients and three newborns, spoke to the medical personnel, and expressed interest in the overall conditions of the clinic. As he noted, members of every social layer already have access to medical care in the best conditions.
The President also addressed the local residents and introduced the planned projects to them. The Head of State noted that every region and every person should enjoy equal rights and have equal conditions including in terms of education and medical care. Mikheil Saakashvili also touched on the issue of rehabilitating Kakheti and developing tourism in the region.
Later today, the President decorated a Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician – Nodar Kipshidze for his special contribution in medicine and long and productive work in the therapy sphere, with the Presidential Order of Excellence. According to the Head of State, the future of Georgian medicine is based on rich medical traditions.
The insurance company “Imedi L” has built the clinic through an investment of 4 million GEL. The hospital has 30 beds and is equipped with ultramodern technology. The patients can get any kind of medical care at the new clinic, which employs 120 qualified specialists.
