President Saakashvili meets with presidential scholars
Today President Mikheil Saakashvili met with 14 students who have received the president's scholarships to continue their studies at the US and European institutes.
The students, graduates of the law faculty, have been selected through the competition by a fund created under the President of Georgia.
"My dream has came true. I am proud that Georgia has been able to fund its most intelligent students to study abroad. We are the government that managed to do it," President Saakashvili said at the meeting stressing that Georgia is on its way of development.
President Saakashvili underscored the most important events that took place within the last month in Georgia - launching the process of the withdrawal of Russian military bases from the Georgian territory, visit of the US President George Bush to Georgia and opening of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
President Saakashvili promised all the 14 scholars high-paid jobs on their return to Georgia.
