President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili paid an official visit to Azerbaijan. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Energy are in Azerbaijan as well. President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili laid wreaths on the cemetery of Heidar Aliev and Azerbaijani National Heroes' Memorial and later held a tte--tte meeting with Ilkham Aliev.

Tomorrow President of Georgia will hold negotiations with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Arthur Rasizade.

Deepening existing relations between two countries, economic and security cooperation issues were discussed during the meeting. Meetings between delegations were also held. Afterwards Presidents held joint briefing.

Several important documents were signed in the frames of visit. Document of "free air traffic between Georgia and Azerbaijan" in intergovernmental agreement - changes, as well changes in free trade document were signed during the visit.

First flight was conducted today between Baku-Tbilisi. The first passenger of this flight symbolically was Mikheil Saakashvili.

Azerbaijani Airways will conduct flights between Baku and Tbilisi. Regular flights will start from June.

There is information about opening of General Council of Azerbaijan in Batumi in the nearest future.
