President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili responded to the results of UN Security Council Session at the Session of Georgian Security Council

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili invited Security Council Session today to discuss the results of UN Security Council Session at the Session.

President spoke to Georgia's Ambassador to the United Nations Kakha Lomaia via live video session from New York and listened to the information from the Ambassador personally about the events that took place yesterday at the UN Security Council Session.

President evaluated positively the work of Kakha Lomaia and Mission and noted that this work is energetic, patriotic and intellectual.

Mikheil Saakashvili said that even one month ago the UN General Secretary gave up his positions due to Russia's blackmailing. There existed a danger that after Russia's pressure that lasted for about for 15-16 years the International Community might have yielded to this pressure. But as President of Georgia noted Georgia received absolutely consolidated support from the International Community.

"Russia had to use Veto and now Russia's existence on Abkhazian territory has no legal basis", stated President of Georgia. He added that Russia was ready to trade anything for UN Permanent Representatives of UN Security Councilyielded Georgia.

"There is no separatist's regime and de-facto government, there exists Russia's occupational control over Georgian territory only", stated Mikheil Saakashvili.
