President of the Republic of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga with her spouse, Imants Freibergs, will visit Georgia on 25 May. Vaira Vike-Freiberga will meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili on 26 May, will attend a parade dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia and will deliver a speech.

President of Latvia is scheduled to meet with the Parliament Speaker of Georgia Nino Burjadanze. The same Day Vaira Vike-Freiberga will lay flowers to the memorial of the heroes who died for the unification of Georgia.

Vaira Vike-Freiberga will visit Old Tbilisi and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta.

At the end of the visit President Saakashvili will hold a dinner to honor the visit of the President of Latvia and her spouse.

President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga will leave Georgia on 26 May.
