The New Year excursion Bedoba in Imereti for socially volnurable children from Tbilisi and Batumi
On January 2, 2012, the First Lady of Georgia, Sandra E. Roelofs organized the traditional New Year excursion Bedoba (Georgian traditional day which determines a person’s fate throughout the year), in Imereti, for the children from a small group home in the village of Gldani and socially vulnerable children from Batumi. In particular, they visited Kutaisi to see the newly constructed Parliament building and Bagrati Cathedral. They also visited a New Year’s performance in the skating square, a small group home in Kutaisi, Gelati, Motsameta and the Sataplia Grotto and Museum.
