At the initiative of the First Lady of Georgia, Sandra E. Roelofs and the First lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva a cultural exchange program was implemented between Georgia and Azerbaijan for the period of September 1-10, 2010. Within the framework of this initiative 20 children from socially vulnerable families, from both countries, visited Georgia and Azerbaijan during the ten-day program.
