The president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili has met the American businessman Donald Trump in the tower where Trump's office is located. The Georgian delegation, including the minister of economy and sustainable development Vera Kobalia attended the convention. At the meeting the sides discussed future plans and cooperation issues. In particular, they signed an understanding Memorandum of cooperation, according to the memorandum there will be built Donald Trump's Tower in Georgia. For the future construction a specific place is not selected yet, but presumably, the project will be implemented in Tbilisi, Batumi or Bobokvati. Georgia is the first country in Eastern Europe where American businessmen will invest.

During the meeting the Georgian side provided the information to American billionaire in the processes of building in Adjara and presented the projects, which are implemented in Batumi. Donald Trump was impressed with stories and named Batumi as a European-style city. Donald Trump made a statement to The Georgian press representatives and said that the World spoke about Georgia. He said that when he speaks of Georgia he always mentions the president Mikheil Saakashvili as well. The Vice President of Trump's corporation was attending the meeting.
