The President of Georgia Visited Tkibuli

The President of Georgia visited Tkibuli today regarding the “Day of Tkibuli” where Mikheil Saakashvili addressed the local population. The President of Georgia opened a 13.2 megawatt thermo electric power station, which will produce 100 million kilowatts of electricity per year and be used in processing the coal extracted from the Tkibuli mine. The station that Mikheil Saakashvili launched is well-equipped with modern technologies and employs up to 150 local citizens.

Mikheil Saakashvili also visited the textile factory and discussed the working conditions with its personnel. There are currently 250 people employed at the factory but very soon the number will increase to 500. The factory produces export clothing for men and women and it has already received orders from several countries.

Mikheil Saakashvili later toured the newly-opened Police Patrol building. The President of Georgia expressed interest in the current state of the region and received information about local crime statistics. According to Mikheil Saakashvili, compared to the previous years, the income has grown significantly and the crime rate has decreased.
