The President of Georgia arrived in the Rusiani Village of the Sagarejo area today and attended the funeral of Captain Solomon Tsiklauri, who lost his life during a special operation administered in Lapankuri. Mikheil Saakashvili personally extended condolences to the family of the deceased and expressed support to his relatives.

After his death, Solomon Tsiklauri was decorated with the First Degree Order of Vakhtang Gorgasali. The award was given to his family.

During the special operation administered at the Georgian-Russian border 3 officers of the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Defense of Georgia have lost their lives, and 11 insurgents were killed.
