The President of Georgia visited Racha

The President of Georgia visited Racha and met with populations of three villages – Khvanchkara, Kvatskhuti, and Nikortsminda. Mikheil Saakashvili familiarized local residents with the infrastructural projects that are going to be implemented in the region. During the conversation the Head of State also touched on the social programs, which are going to be implemented in the nearest future. The President focused attention on the importance of the 1000 GEL vouchers, state insurance, and increasing pensions up to 100 USD.

“Very warm, friendly, hard working, patriotic people, and personally very dear to me live here in Racha. I think a lot about how this place can be developed. We are building new roads everywhere in the region, and a good water system so that there is no longer a water problem in the 21st century. We will complete the gasification process everywhere in Racha, and everyone will have natural gas within the next few months. According to the agreement, you will have to pay an installment of as much per month as you are paying to buy liquid gas containers, so that this bill does not feel like extra weight for the families. Every school in Racha will be like those in Switzerland. The fact that students from Racha get the highest scores on national exams makes me very happy because very smart and hard working young people live here” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili.

The Head of State also focused attention on the fact that the best vintage should be held in Racha this year. According to him, this is a matter of national pride, and the vintage should be much more organized than in the recent years. As the President noted, Khvanchkara is a famous name around the world, and this should be reflected on the prosperity of every local family.

As for the employment program, Mikheil Saakashvili focused attention on the work of the Ministry of Employment and the importance of retraining centers.

“You may find it surprising, but there are a lot of vacancies in Georgia in various sectors. The problem is merely that the employer and job seeker cannot find each other. We have to build a much larger technical school in Ambrolauri, just like those in other regions. Additionally, the Ministry of Employment will open offices in every region, visit every family and learn about their qualifications and skills. Very educated and hard working people live here, and we will definitely find you employers based on your skills and abilities. It is impossible not to employ people in Georgia, where the economy is growing” – stated the President of Georgia.

The President of Georgia also touched on the issue of the elections and stated that October 1st is a decisive date for all of Georgia.

“The truth will be ascertained during the elections. Elections are held not because we want to look good, but first of all to protect ourselves. Each of our families must protect themselves. God forbid we return back to the past - what people are telling us directly…as soon as corruption returns to Georgia, corruption will return to the police, hospitals, and every service…love of Georgia is not only my property – everyone must love Georgia. But if you are saying that you want to come to power because there are still a lot of things to build and a lot of things to demolish then you do not love Georgia. This is how they are acting. This is why the only thing we can use against them is our self love, honor, unity and integrity and the fact that we are going to take the affair we have started to the very end” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili.
