The President of Georgia opened a Public Service Hall in Gurjaani

The President of Georgia opened a Public Service Hall in Gurjaani today and congratulated the residents of Gurjaani on the opportunity to obtain simplified state services in one space. Mikheil Saakashvili spoke about reforms implemented in the country and named Public Service Halls as one of the most successful projects. The Head of State also spoke to the students present and focused attention on the Student Health Insurance Program. He gave them new student cards as well.

“I would like to address representatives of business – the more discounts you give students the more circulation we will have because students are enthusiasts, and you will be able to receive more by making small discounts. From now on they will be able to use the railway for half the price, receive 10 GEL discounts at movie theaters, discounts at supermarkets, media stores and various information services, but I want all of the businesses to take the student card seriously.” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili.

The President of Georgia also spoke about the importance of Public Service Halls as well as the UN Award and assessment by Hillary Clinton.

“The United Nations has given a world class award to our Public Service Halls for the most innovative project. All of you have probably seen how excited the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as she left Batumi after touring our Public Service Hall. This is the most advanced public service place worldwide, and we have truly created an innovation in order to ease people’s lives. This building has been designed by a Georgian architect and many others have been designed by foreigners. If you observe closely, the first target of the radicals is the glass bridge in Tbilisi, the second one is the new Parliament, and third one is the Public Service Hall. However, regardless of their desperation we will keep building them and doing everything we are doing” – stated the President of Georgia.

The President of Georgia also expressed interest in the essence of the new project of the Ministry of Justice – The House of Leaders and received information from Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Vashadze. In order to raise social responsibility of students graduating from high schools and their civil activity, students will be offered interesting activities within the scope of the Public Service Halls.
