A wide delegation meeting was held headed by the President of Georgia and the US Secretary of State. The sides stressed that the relations between the two countries has to deepen even more. During the meeting they also discussed defense capabilities of the country and the current situation in the region. They also spoke about the projects planned in the political, social, economic, and education spheres. It was especially underscored during the meeting that Georgia has requested observers from the EU countries 7 months prior to the elections.

After the meeting Mikheil Saakashvili and Hillary Clinton held a joint press conference.
