The Head of State toured a new medical center in Gardabani
Mikheil Saakashvili toured a new medical center in Gardabani, visited its first patients, and gave them presents as well. According to the President, there were only a few such centers and only in Tbilisi. As he noted, in these hospitals it was necessary to pay money in order to get a diagnosis. The Head of State met with the medical personnel and spoke about the importance of health insurance.
“We did not even have the opportunity to make diagnosis in the past, not to mention other things. Everything has been done to ensure the best quality and now not only a diagnosis, but satisfactory treatment is available as well” – noted Mikheil Saakashvili.
After inspecting the new clinic, the President of Georgia met with the local population and addressed them. Mikheil Saakashvili drew attention to the projects that have already been implemented and stated that every meeting with citizens gives him new energy. According to the Head of State, Gardabani is populated by very warm and hard-working people who settled here from all over Georgia a long time ago. The President noted that the main priority of the government is to draw attention to the most unprotected parts of the population of the country and the places that have been abandoned for decades.
Mikheil Saakashvili even called Gardabani a mini model of Georgia while meeting with the locals.
The new hospital is equipped with modern technology and has ambulatory, stationary, surgery, maternity, and diagnostic departments. It is designed for 30 beds and employs 50 highly qualified specialists. This is the first such medical center in the region.
