Mikheil Saakashvili hosted the leader of Ukraine’s Democratic Alliance for Reforms – the “UDAR” Party and world champion in boxing, Vitali Klitschko, at the Presidential Palace today. During the meeting the sides discussed issues related to deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia. The discussion also touched on the democratically held parliamentary elections and current political events in the country. According to Vitali Klitschko’s statement, Georgia showed one more example of fairness and democracy to the international community during these elections. As the leader of UDAR noted, his team fully shares European aspirations and values of the “United National Movement”.

The leader of the “UDAR” congratulated the Head of State on his birthday and symbolically gave him a gift.

Later on, Vitali Klitschko attended the conference of representatives of the “United National Movement” and City Councils at Parliament as a guest, during which an agreement regarding cooperation was signed between the “UNM” and “UDAR”.
